Up-and-coming singer-songwriter Matt White will be starting his headlining tour at John Henry's on Oct.7 in Eugene, OR. White is touring in support of his new single, "Love" off his critically acclaimed debut album Best Days, released in 2007 by Geffen Records/Interscope.

There's a new all-ages venue in town where kids of any age can enjoy rock shows. Taboo Nightclub has gained popularity over the summer since hosting Last Band Standing from April to July of this year. The event was held every Thursday with four bands competing each week.

Student Solarizes: mayor approves

"Are these yours? They're beautiful. Hi, I'm Kitty Piercy, the mayor." Those were Mayor Kitty Piercy's words as she introduced herself to Jocelyn Jaggers, an LCC student at the Mayor's Teen Art Show at Maude Kerns Art Center, Sept. 12. Jaggers is in her fourth year at LCC as a general studies major, with a focus on photography.
