Public Safety reported four robberies in Lane Community College's parking lots on Oct. 6. Director of Public Safety, Sandra Ing-Wiese, reported that while Public Safety as of Wednesday had no clear idea on the suspects, she said robbery, especially from vehicles, has not seen an overall. "You get flurries until the person or persons doing it move to another area," Ing-Wiese said. "If you're very lucky you catch the person or persons committing the crime, and the very next best thing is to make them uncomfortable enough that they'll leave." Ing-Weise said Public Safety has been "stepping up" its presence in the parking lots in response to criminal activity.
